Ben Stein, Intelligent Design Champion, says “In today’s world, at least in America, an Einstein or a Newton or a Galileo would probably not be allowed to receive grants to study or to publish his research.”
I think he is right, although not for the reasons he thinks:
Dear Mr. Newton,
Your work on planetary motion and mechanics has an elegant simplicity about it, but we feel it is not advanced enough for this peer-reviewed journal. In fact, it appears to be nothing more than simple high-school level physics and calculus. It is almost as if you are unaware of 300 years of advancement in scientific theory. If this is a joke, we are not amused.Regards,
The Journal of Orbital Mechanics

Who is Newton? Fox news has never mentioned him. Was he one of those *&%^$ Liberals?
Huh?
Damn Brownie, don't tell me your confused. It's a joke, aimed at the ignorance of the right. Perhaps you lean a little to far right and it went (right)over your head. That was a joke too by the way..
Hey, joking is not allowed on this blog. Cut it out, man.
Please forgive me Dan. It's been so long since I have read the Blogspot Code of Conduct manual, I inadvertantly forgot the no joking clause. From now on I'll keep it to an Anne Coulter type funny.
Huh?
