Good to see you back blogging again.
I think I got this one. Because there were some things wrong in past times, the world is a better place now.
Why would you say that? I thought the past was a golden time of no social problems.
Hey Dan, welcome back. We missed you.
One of the things I've noticed as we do 'end of decade' things this December and January is that while there are definitely somethings to complain about in our present in the USA, in India and China more or less 1/3 of the world's population have had a great decade, with life expectancy up, food security up immensely, incomes double, and other benefits.
Also, I'm not sure if the world's a better place now or not than it was 20, 30, 40, or whatever years ago. But I like my life now and am happy to celebrate it. My childhood was a pain, and I like my community.
